Admitted Carrier
An admitted carrier is an insurance company licensed and regulated by the Utah Insurance Department. Because they're state-approved, their policies are backed by a state guaranty fund that may help pay claims if the insurer fails. Most standard home, auto, and business policies come from admitted carriers.

Admitted carriers offer an extra layer of state oversight and financial backstop that can protect you if an insurer goes under.
