Insurance term
Commercial Auto
Commercial auto covers vehicles your business owns and uses for work — trucks, vans, or cars — for accidents, injuries, and damage. It's the business version of a personal auto policy, with higher limits suited to company use. Personal auto policies usually exclude vehicles used mainly for business.
Why it matters
If a company vehicle causes a crash in Utah, a personal policy may deny the claim, leaving your business to pay out of pocket.
