Insurance term
General Liability
General liability covers the everyday risks of running a business — like a customer slipping in your shop, or your work accidentally damaging someone else's property. It helps pay for the resulting injury or damage claims, plus the legal costs if you're sued. It does not cover your own employees' injuries or your own property.
Why it matters
Most Utah landlords, clients, and licensing boards won't let you operate or sign a contract without it.
